I don't work in the news media, but I can see myself falling into the same pattern of looking for local casualties and moving on, not really comprehending that every town on the list signifies someone's death. A lost son or daughter. I'm glad you took the time in this article to point that out and I think your honesty about glossing over the pieces in the beginning make it so real..at least for me.
