Then, I read the article...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;p&gt;  I'll be 42 next Saturday, so I don't remember ANY NY team being our favorite, but now, I understand where you're coming from - in more than 1 way...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;p&gt;  After 9/11, I was a Red Cross volunteer in Manhattan, but I didn't stay in NY at night. I drove 2 hours each way to Rocky Neck State Park, just outside of Niantic, CT...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;p&gt;  On Sept. 23rd, I went to a bar close to the state park to watch the second half of the NE/Jets game. I assumed that, since CT is part of NE, everybody would be Pats fans. Guess what?
